On June 3, Nebula announced a key technological breakthrough in the field of AI intelligent computing networks and officially launched the S1400 series AI intelligent computing high-speed network cards. As a completely independently developed domestic solution, the product redefines the interconnection standard of intelligent computing clusters with breakthrough network performance to meet the stringent requirements of large model training and reasoning scenarios. At present, the product has successfully adapted to DeepSeek's DeepEP open source communication library, greatly improving the communication efficiency of AI computing clusters and injecting strong impetus into AI application innovation.

The S1400 series AI intelligent computing high-speed Internet card has a 1x400G or 2x200G network interface mode, adopts a PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 interface, and provides a bidirectional RDMA message rate of up to 100Mpps. Its key features include: full support for the RoCEv2 protocol standard, and compatibility with mainstream communication libraries such as NCCL, DeepEP, and BCCL, ensuring seamless integration with the existing AI ecosystem.


In addition, S1400 supports advanced GPUDirect technology (GDR, GDA) and user-mode MR (UMR) operations, providing extremely low latency and high bandwidth for large-scale AI computing clusters. In particular, the self-developed NBL-SRP protocol of the S1400 series AI intelligent computing high-speed Internet card supports out-of-order reception and selective retransmission of all RoCE v2 operations (including Write/Atomic/Send/Read, etc.) in DDP mode, and is specially optimized for GPU-side Atomic operations and low-latency Local reads. These features further make up for the domestic ecological deficiencies. In terms of congestion control, the S1400 series is equipped with Nebula's self-developed NBL-CC algorithm. This algorithm performs active end-to-end congestion control based on RTT detection and packet loss statistics. It does not rely on specific switch configurations and has the characteristics of few parameters, easy deployment, and excellent performance. It can achieve fast startup and fast convergence, and maintain low queue depth and high throughput of the switch. Actual test data shows that compared with the traditional DCQCN algorithm, NBL-CC has an average performance improvement of 50% and a 99th percentile performance improvement of 48%, especially in short-flow scenarios, with an improvement of up to 60%-100%.


It effectively ensures low queue congestion and sustained high throughput of the network. With the self-developed NBL-SRP protocol (packet-by-packet multipath, DDP out-of-order reception, selective retransmission, and fast retransmission), the S1400 series AI intelligent computing high-speed Internet card can fully exert the interface bandwidth potential in mainstream AI scenarios and lossy networks. Its NCCL communication performance is comparable to and partially exceeds industry benchmark products in multiple key indicators, and in specific business scenarios, it is comparable to 7M + atomic), demonstrating strong market competitiveness.
